Agartala, 12th June 2024: A shadow of grief has descended over Tripura’s Karkari village in the Tuichindrai Bari area under Teliamura police station of Khowai district following the tragic death of a indigenous woman due to electrocution.
The incident involved Purna Bala Debbarma (50) a resident of Tuichindrai Bari area.
According to reports, Purna Bala was seriously injured after coming into contact with an electric wire. Her family quickly responded, rushing her to the Teliamura sub-divisional hospital. Despite their swift actions, she could not be saved.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the doctor on duty examined her and confirmed that she had died before reaching the hospital.
Meanwhile, Minister Bikash Debbarma visited sub-divisional hospital and stood by the side of the bereaved family members.
The tragic event has left the local community in mourning as they grapple with the sudden loss.
