Agartala, 22nd March 2026: In a tragic incident on Sunday morning, an Anganwadi worker lost her life after a road accident in the Motinagar area.
According to local sources, Anita Ghosh was riding her son’s bike to the Anganwadi center around 8 a.m., as part of her routine. While passing through the Fultali Bazar area, she suddenly fell off the bike, sustaining serious injuries. She was immediately rescued and rushed to the Asthma Hospital for initial treatment.
As her condition worsened, she was referred to GB Hospital for further care. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared her dead, leaving the community and her family in shock.
Anita Ghosh resided in the Pandavpur area, and her sudden demise has plunged her family into deep mourning. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The local community has expressed condolences and highlighted the urgent need for road safety awareness in the area.
