Agartala, 8th October 2026 : Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting to review arrangements for ensuring a peaceful, safe and orderly Durga Puja celebration across the Jirania subdivision.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of the Jirania Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office and was attended by elected representatives, police and administrative officials, as well as officials from various government departments.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on several key issues related to the upcoming Durga Puja festivities, including law and order, traffic management, security arrangements, public services and ensuring the convenience of residents and visitors.
Chowdhury stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure that the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere. He called for adequate arrangements to maintain public safety and smooth traffic movement during the festive period.
The minister expressed hope that the collective efforts of the administration, police, elected representatives and various departments would help maintain communal harmony and a festive atmosphere across every part of the Jirania subdivision.
He also extended his wishes for a peaceful and joyous Durga Puja, expressing hope that the blessings of Goddess Durga would bring happiness, peace and prosperity to all.
