Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha reviews ADB-funded urban livability project

Agartala, 15th May 2026:   Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today reviewed the upcoming Tripura Urban Livability Improvement Project (TULIP), a major initiative funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), during a high-level meeting at the TIFT Conference Hall.

The review session was held in the presence of the visiting ADB Mission, headed by Shri Manoj Sharma, Director (Water & Urban Sector, ADB), along with his team comprising Miss Sorin Chung, Urban Development Specialist, Shri Bhavesh Kumar, Senior Project Officer, and Mr. Bing, Safeguard Specialist, among others. Senior officials of the Government of Tripura also attended the meeting.

Dr. Saha emphasized that the TULIP project would play a transformative role in enhancing urban infrastructure, livability standards, and sustainable growth across Tripura’s towns. He highlighted the importance of close coordination between ADB experts and state officials to ensure timely implementation and maximum benefit to citizens.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the project, backed by international expertise and funding, would significantly improve urban amenities, water supply, sanitation, and housing facilities, thereby raising the overall quality of life in Tripura’s urban areas.
