Tripura CM listens to PM’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in West Bengal, highlights bamboo sector boost

Agartala, 26th April 2026 :   . Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today listened to the 133rd episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme Mann Ki Baat while visiting West Bengal.

The Chief Minister attended the broadcast at Booth No. 82 under the 85-South Krishnanagar assembly constituency, where he joined leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in listening to the monthly address.

Speaking after the programme, Dr. Saha said that each episode of Mann Ki Baat brings forward inspiring stories and valuable insights that motivate people across all sections of society while spreading a message of positivity.

Referring to the latest episode, he noted with pride that the Prime Minister gave special emphasis to the bamboo industry of the North-Eastern region, including Tripura. He described the mention as a significant recognition of the state’s growing role in the sector.

Dr. Saha further stated that the expansion of bamboo-based industries is creating new employment opportunities and contributing meaningfully to sustainable development. He expressed confidence that the continued growth of this sector would strengthen the economy of the North-East and open new avenues for future progress.
