Agartala, 3rd March 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha met with Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, at his official residence in New Delhi.
During the courtesy meeting, the two leaders discussed a range of issues related to the development and expansion of youth and sports infrastructure in Tripura. The discussion reportedly focused on enhancing facilities for sports training, improving access to modern equipment, and supporting talent identification programs for young athletes in the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of promoting sports at the grassroots level and emphasized the role of government initiatives in providing opportunities for youth to excel in various disciplines. He also sought the Union Minister’s support for upcoming projects aimed at upgrading stadiums, creating new training centers, and organizing state-level competitions to encourage active participation among young people.
Union Minister Mandaviya assured full support for the initiatives and expressed his commitment to strengthening the sports ecosystem in Tripura, aligning with the central government’s vision to nurture sporting talent across the country.
