Agartala, 26th May 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has directed Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha to conduct an inquiry into allegations made by Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma. Pradyot claimed that Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma refused to meet him.
An official from the Chief Minister’s Office stated that, based on reliable sources, following Pradyot’s complaint against Gomati DM Tarit Kanti Chakma, CM Manik Saha, upon returning to Tripura from Delhi, instructed the Chief Secretary to look into the matter and provide a detailed report.
On Sunday night, Pradyot accused the Gomati DM of denying him a meeting despite his repeated attempts to contact him over the past month. Pradyot said, “I came here to meet District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma regarding some official matters. Despite trying to reach him multiple times for the last month, my calls were not answered. When I visited his residence today, he refused to meet me. I had come to discuss important issues related to Gomati District, but he was unwilling to engage. What else can be done?”
