Tripura CM to Attend Swearing-In Ceremonies in Bengal and Assam

Agartala, 8th May 2026  : Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday said that he will leave for West Bengal to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly formed government on May 9.

Speaking to reporters, Dr. Saha said he will also attend another oath-taking ceremony in Assam on May 12.  “I will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in West Bengal on May 9 and another programme in Assam on May 12. I will leave for Bengal tomorrow. It is truly a matter of happiness,” he said.

Dr. Saha also stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA-led BJP has continued to form governments across the country, which he termed exceptional.Referring to his election campaign in West Bengal, he said he had visited several Assembly constituencies and witnessed overwhelming public support for the BJP.

“During the campaign, I toured many Assembly constituencies in Bengal. One can easily understand the pulse of the people, and the response was tremendous. The victory was landslide. However, unfortunately, Mamata Banerjee did not resign,” he added.
