Agartala, 4th January 2025: The Tripura Contractual Employees’ Forum staged a three-hour sit-in-demonstration at Paradise Chowmuhani here, demanding equal pay for equal work among other demands. They warned of a larger movement if their demands are not met promptly.
Senior advocate Puroshuttam Ray Barman stated, “The Tripura Contractual Employees’ Forum held a three-hour sit-in at Agartala’s Paradise Chowmuhani to press for various demands.”
The demands include providing equal pay for equal work to irregular employees upon regularization, recognizing part-time employees as full-time irregular employees, and implementing a regularization scheme for irregular employees after ten years of service. They have threatened a larger movement if these demands are not fulfilled.
