Tripura delegation to visit Odisha for skill development study

Agartala, 12th January 2026:  A four-member team from the Directorate of Skill Development, Government of Tripura, is set to visit Odisha on January 13, 2026, to examine the state’s acclaimed skill development initiatives and operational framework.

The delegation headed by Pradeep K., Director of Skill Development, Tripura will focus on Odisha’s training models, industry partnerships, infrastructure use, and overall management practices. The visit is part of Tripura’s broader plan to adopt and replicate successful strategies for enhancing skill development in the state.

To facilitate the program, the Skill Development and Technical Education (SDTE) Department of Odisha has instructed the Directorate of Skill Development and the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) to oversee logistical arrangements, including accommodation and transport. A liaison officer will be appointed to ensure smooth coordination.

During their stay, the Tripura officials will tour the World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar, a flagship institution showcasing advanced training infrastructure and innovative approaches to workforce development.
