Tripura educator Bidisha Majumder felicitated with national teacher’s award by President Murmu

Agartala, 5th September 2025: Bidisha Majumdar, a science teacher at Hariyananda English Medium School in Udaipur, Gomati district of Tripura was conferred with the prestigious National Teacher’s Award by President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary, celebrated nationwide as Teachers’ Day.

The award ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, recognized 45 outstanding educators from across the country for their exemplary contributions to the field of education. Each awardee received a certificate of honor, a silver medal and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.

Majumdar’s recognition marks a proud moment for Tripura, highlighting the state’s commitment to educational excellence and the dedication of its teaching community.
