Tripura Gramin Bank honoured as Best Performer under SAMRIDDHI 2.0

Agartala, 18th   May 2026:  In a moment of pride for the state’s banking and rural development sector, Tripura Gramin Bank has been recognised as the “Best Performing Bank under SAMRIDDHI 2.0” for the financial year 2025–26. The award was conferred by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), under the Rural Development Department, Government of Tripura.

The prestigious honour was presented by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha at a grand programme held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. The event was attended by senior officials including Rural Development Department Secretary Abhishek Singh, IAS, TRLM Chief Executive Officer Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, along with other dignitaries.

The recognition highlights Tripura Gramin Bank’s significant contribution towards strengthening rural livelihoods across the state. The bank has played a key role in empowering Self Help Groups (SHGs), encouraging women-led entrepreneurship, and expanding access to financial services in rural areas.

Officials of the bank expressed gratitude to the state government, TRLM, its customers, SHG members, and stakeholders for their continued support and trust. They also acknowledged the dedication and efforts of the bank’s staff, whose people-centric approach has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

Reaffirming its commitment, the bank stated that it will continue to work towards fostering inclusive growth, financial empowerment, and a self-reliant rural economy in Tripura.
