Agartala, 13th March 2026: Tripura Gramin Bank has been honoured with the Certificate of Appreciation by the Government of Tripura, Department of Industries & Commerce, in recognition of its Outstanding Banking Support under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme for the period 2020–2026.
The award was presented during the launch of the Tripura Women Entrepreneurship Policy (2025–2030) and the State Level Programme on PMFME Scheme, held at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala. The ceremony was graced by Santana Chakma, Minister, Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura.
Tripura Gramin Bank recorded the highest number of sanctioned and disbursed cases under the PMFME Scheme in the State, underscoring its commitment to: Promoting micro food processing enterprises; Strengthening local entrepreneurship; Supporting self-employment and rural livelihoods; and Driving economic growth and value addition in the agri-food sector.
This recognition highlights the dedicated efforts of the Bank’s team, its partnership with Government agencies, and the trust of customers and entrepreneurs across Tripura.
Speaking on the occasion, officials reaffirmed that Tripura Gramin Bank will continue to empower entrepreneurs, support small businesses, and foster inclusive and sustainable economic development in the State.
The Bank expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Tripura, Department of Industries & Commerce, for this prestigious honour and pledged to uphold its mission of Banking for Growth.
