Agartala, 9th April 2026: As part of its ongoing investment promotion drive and in preparation for the flagship programme Destination Tripura: Business Conclave 2026, the Tripura Department of Industries and Commerce organised the Destination Tripura – Business Meet 2026, Investors’ Road Show on April 7 at Vivanta by Taj, Begumpet, Hyderabad.
The event was designed to engage potential investors, industry representatives, and business partners. It highlighted investment incentives, ease of doing business, recent infrastructure developments, policy reforms, and sector-specific opportunities in Tripura’s industrial landscape.
Speaking at the programme, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, emphasised the state government’s commitment to industrial growth through policy reforms, procedural simplification, and time-bound approvals. He noted that Tripura offers significant potential across both emerging and traditional sectors, supported by skilled manpower, improved connectivity, and robust institutional frameworks. He encouraged participants to explore long-term partnerships with the state.
Dr. Deepak Kumar, Director of the department, presented data-driven insights into investment opportunities across key sectors including information technology and digital services, education and skill development, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, tourism and hospitality, agriculture and food processing, rubber, bamboo and agarwood, renewable energy, real estate, textiles and handicrafts, among others. A documentary showcasing Tripura’s industrial strengths and infrastructure growth was also screened.
The road show resulted in the signing of 50 agreements worth over Rs 2,500 crore across diverse sectors. According to a press release from the Department of Industries and Commerce, the next road show under this initiative will be held in Bengaluru on April 10, 2026.
