Agartala, 6th September 2025: Tripura Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has underscored the importance of staying closely connected with the public through his weekly ‘Jana Darbar’ sessions.
“Jana Darbar is a platform where the public can directly voice their concerns to their representatives,” said Minister Chowdhury. “Since 2018, when I became an MLA, I have made it a priority to personally visit my constituency and engage with people to address their issues.”
Every Saturday, the minister meets hundreds of constituents who bring a wide range of concerns—from financial hardships, unemployment, and pension issues to matters relating to education and social welfare. “Following the example of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s ‘Mukhyamantri Samipesu’ initiative, we believe that public representatives must work hand-in-hand with the people,” he added.
During these sessions, Minister Chowdhury personally listens to grievances and actively seeks solutions, ensuring that citizens feel heard, supported, and valued. He affirmed that these weekly interactions will continue, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to bridging the gap between the public and their representatives.
