Agartala, 13th May 2024:  Tripura’s Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress-led government, accusing it of various criminal incidents including women abuse, job loss, political terrorism, and corruption.

During a campaign event at booth number one of Guniyara and Raibandh Gram Panchayats under West Bengal’s Bankura Lok Sabha constituency, Chowdhury didn’t hold back in his criticism, stating, “The Trinamool government of West Bengal is showing the direction of the whole country in terms of various criminal incidents… But these do not last long in a democracy.”

Highlighting the recent corruption scandals, Chowdhury pointed fingers at former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, alleging that crores of rupees were recovered from his house two years ago, which turned out to be related to a job scam worth 25,500. Chatterjee is currently in jail along with other members of the cabinet implicated in similar scandals.

Drawing parallels with Tripura’s political scenario, Chowdhury mentioned the disillusionment during CPIM’s 25-year rule, emphasizing the recent change brought about by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects in West Bengal, stating, “The Bharatiya Janata Party government will be established in West Bengal in the coming days.”

Chowdhury urged public support for BJP candidate Subhash Sarkar, expressing assurance of victory in the upcoming elections. “As in the previous Lok Sabha elections, the nominated candidates will win with huge votes in the upcoming elections,” he asserted.
