Agartala, 26th October 2024: Acting on secret information, the police raided a gambling house in the Gorkhabasti area of Agartala city recovering Rs 12,945 in cash along with gambling materials. The operation also led to the arrest of two individuals.
The OC of NCC police station Sushanta Deb stated, “Last night, based on a tip-off, we received a report that gambling was taking place in an abandoned house in the Gorkhabasti area. Acting on this information, we conducted a raid.”
During the operation, the police seized gambling equipment, two mobile phones, and Rs 12,945 in cash. “We have arrested two individuals, Suman Saha and Mia Bahadur Chhetri in connection with the gambling activities,” Deb added. “A specific case has been filed against them.”
