Agartala, 13th January 2025: The state of Tripura has a total of 3,15,104 registered unemployed individuals, according to Employment Services and Manpower Planning Minister Tinku Roy. This information was provided in a written reply to query raised by Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, MLA Nirmal Biswas, Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury and CPM MLA Nayan Sarkar during the second day of the 13th Assembly session.
Minister Roy detailed the educational qualifications of the registered unemployed, stating, “Out of the total 3,15,104 registered unemployed, there are 77,937 secondary degree holders, 84,537 higher secondary degree holders, 73,138 graduates, 18,332 post-graduates, 481 doctors, 6,176 B.Tech holders, 697 M.Tech holders, and 53,805 individuals with other qualifications.”
He further highlighted the demographic breakdown, noting that there are 1,00,507 ST (Scheduled Tribe) unemployed persons and 76,256 SC (Scheduled Caste) unemployed persons among the registered unemployed.
