Tripura reports one new COVID-19 case, three recoveries

Agartala, January 19: Tripura recorded one new COVID-19 case and three recoveries in the last 24 hours, according to the Health department’s media bulletin. The new case was detected by RT PCR test out of 324 samples tested by this method. Another 313 samples were tested by rapid antigen test, but none of them were positive. The total number of samples tested in the state was 637, resulting in a daily infection rate of 0.16 percent.

The state currently has 19 active COVID-19 patients, while three people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases in Tripura stands at 108070, of which 107046 have recovered, giving a recovery rate of 99.05 percent. The state has also reported 940 Covid-19 deaths so far.

The health bulletin also revealed that the only new case in the state was from West Tripura district, while the other seven districts did not report any new cases in the last 24 hours.
