Agartala, June 27 2023: As the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha approaches, Tripura State’s Sepahijala and Gomati district committees of Emarate Shariah and Nadwuatat tamir extend their warm greetings and felicitations to the people of the state. Eid al-Adha, one of the biggest religious festivals for Muslims, is scheduled to commence on June 29.
Eid al-Adha holds great significance as it involves offering prayers to Allah through animal sacrifice. It is a fundamental Islamic practice to distribute the meat of the sacrificial animals among the sacrificer, their relatives, and the less fortunate.
During a press conference, office-bearers from Tripura State Emarate Shariah and Nadwuatat Tamir, along with the Sepahijala and Gomati district committees, emphasized the importance of proper disposal of impure objects on the ground after the sacrifice. They urged the Muslim community of the state to ensure adherence to this practice.
Furthermore, individuals were advised to seek guidance from local Ulama and Imams regarding qurbani, the act of sacrifice. The officials also appealed to parents to celebrate the festival in accordance with Islamic rules. They highlighted that Qurbani Eid carries a message of peace, harmony, and unity for the state and the country. They requested the cooperation and administrative assistance from all parts of the state during the festive occasion.
In the press conference, the Secretary of Emarate Shariah Tripura Maulana Zakir Hussain Alajlili, along with the President of Emarate Shariah Sepahijala district Maulana Abdul Kadir, the General Secretary Maulana Umar Faruk and other distinguished individuals.
