Agartala, October 22, 2022: Slamming the CPIM leaders, BJP state vice-president Dr Ashok Sinha on Saturday claimed that there would be lot of fun if all the opposition political parties unite in respect to the call leader of opposition Manik Sarkar have made for uniting all secular democratic forces.

Speaking to media personnel at BJP state headquarters here on Saturday afternoon, Dr Sinha said that the previous CPIM-led Left Front government was involved in staging political violence. “If the Congress leaders and workers feel that they are willing to join hands with CPIM, who had killed their seniors, they may go and this is nothing worry situation for us, rather we will enjoy”, he added.

He said “We will go to the people with the works we have done for them in our five-year tenure. We will explain everything to the common people. If people find us positive then definitely BJP’s representatives will be elected and form government again in Tripura.”

“Yesterday, CPIM had a public meeting at Astabal. We feel opposition will speak and oppose democratically while criticising the ruling party is normal. Whenever, Sarkar writes letter to the Chief Minister, he instantly gets reply in written form which was never found during Leftist regime”, he added.

Castigating the comments of the leader of opposition, Dr Sinha said that Sarkar has become excited who claimed that secularism should be brought back. “In real sense, Sarkar is trying to create a new issue which was never in Tripura during the past four and half years. Sarkar also claimed that the unresolved issue of terminated 10,323 teachers will be solved if they come back in power which is completely a ridiculous thing. We never want to play with the lives of common masses which is done by the Sarkar during his tenure”, BJP state vice-president told reporters.

Being asked about CPIM state secretary Jitendra Choudhury’s demand of releasing “white paper”, Dr Sinha said “We are not bound to reply or release white paper to him or party he supports. We will make people aware about our welfare activities that are done during BJP’s regime in the state.”
