Agartala, 25th September 2024: The Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress (TPYC) on Wednesday urged the immediate release of exam results for Group D posts and called for the implementation of a waiting list by the Joint Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT). The youth wing has warned of larger protests if their demands are not addressed promptly.
In a memorandum submitted to the Director of JRBT, TPYC President Neelkamal Saha highlighted two key demands: the immediate publication of a waiting list for JRBT Group D positions, and the release of written and viva exam marks separately for all candidates.
Saha noted that several candidates who appeared for Group D exams also took part in the Group C exams and were subsequently selected for the latter. He claimed that many of these candidates were placed under Group C, creating vacancies in Group D.
“We have learned from reliable sources that around 700 Group D candidates are from other states, and the majority of them are unlikely to join. This means that approximately 950 to 1,000 positions may remain vacant. To prevent further unemployment, it is essential to implement a waiting list so that the next set of candidates can be offered these jobs,” Saha said.
He further emphasized the need for the separate publication of written and viva exam results, which would provide transparency and assure candidates of a fair evaluation process. Saha expressed frustration, stating, “Despite assurances made in our previous meeting, no action has been taken so far. We demand immediate steps be taken, or the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress will intensify its protests on a larger scale.”
The TPYC is pushing for swift action to address these concerns, citing the need to prevent a potential increase in unemployment and ensure fair job allocation for qualified candidates.
