Agartala, 18th January 2025: Tripura’s Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala has achieved a significant milestone by being upgraded from Grade-III to Grade-II, signaling remarkable progress in state’s infrastructure development. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha made the announcement, emphasizing the importance of this upgrade for the state.
“It is a matter of great pride that MBB Airport, Agartala, has been upgraded from Grade-III to Grade-II based on passenger movement and infrastructure development,” Dr. Saha stated. “My gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for his continuous support towards the all-around development of Tripura.”
The upgraded status is expected to enhance connectivity and bolster tourism, solidifying Agartala’s role as a key hub in the Northeastern region. Dr. Saha also highlighted the central government’s unwavering efforts to transform Tripura into a model of growth and development, paving the way for further advancements in the state.
