Agartala, 9th April 2025 : Dreams pursued with passion and perseverance do come true—and young innovator and Grandmaster Pragyat Prasun from Tripura is living proof of it.

Representing Kendriya Vidyalaya JNU, Delhi, Pragyat secured First Position at the KVS National Level Science Exhibition held in New Delhi on April 7–8, 2025.

The event, held under the banner of the 52nd Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP) 2024-25, was organized by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and saw participation from students across all 25 regions of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).

The eighth-grade student showcased his innovative “Sewage Cleaning Robot”, designed to address the limitations of current sewage cleaning systems and eliminate the need for manual scavenging, a hazardous practice still prevalent in some parts of India. His project was lauded for its practical applicability, human impact, and creative engineering.

A native of Tripura who recently moved to Delhi, Pragyat has been building robots from discarded electronic parts since early childhood. With the strong support and guidance of his teachers and Principal at KV JNU, his hobby has evolved into a passion forn cutting-edge innovation.

Apart from his scientific pursuits, Pragyat is also a Grandmaster in yoga, having set eight records, including five world records in the discipline. His multifaceted talent earned him a special interaction in 2024 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, where he shared his aspirations in the fields of robotics and yoga.
