Tripureswari Vidyamandir celebrates Foundation Day with patriotic fervor

Agartala, 2nd May 2026:   The Foundation Day of Tripureswari Vidyamandir was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on the school campus, marking a special tribute to the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. The entire event was beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere for the occasion.

Teachers, students, guardians, and several distinguished guests attended the programme. The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by prayers, Vedic chanting, and patriotic songs.

The event was inaugurated by chief guest Dhananjoy Gan Chowdhury, Chairman of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education. Other dignitaries present included Sankar Roy, School Managing Committee President Tandra Gan Chowdhury, Vice President Pijush Kanti Sarkar, School Society President Dhirendra Kalai, and Manager Sanjit Kumar Ghosh.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Chowdhury highlighted the importance of Bharatiya educational values, noting that students’ respect for elders and disciplined behaviour deeply impressed him. Dr Roy spoke about the institution’s steady progress and congratulated students for their success in board examinations, while also expressing gratitude to teachers, parents, and guardians.

Principal Dhruba Mandal welcomed the guests and outlined the school’s achievements. He thanked the entire school community for their continued support and cooperation.

A colourful cultural programme showcased the talents of students through group songs, dances, recitations, yoga displays, and other performances, drawing appreciation from the audience. The school also conferred several awards, including the Gitasree Award for the best outgoing girl, along with the Bimal Dutta Award and Bimal Gan Chowdhury Award, honouring outstanding students.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vice-Principal Mounita Chakraborty.

The celebration reflected the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of its students.
