TRLM CEO Reviews District-Level Spending and TRESP Project Progress

Agartala, 10th March 2026:  A review meeting with district officials was held in virtual conference (VC) mode to expedite expenditures at the district level under various programmes. The meeting was chaired by Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM). The meeting was attended by the Deputy CEO, Chief Operating Officer (COO), State Mission Managers (SMMs), and other officials.

During the meeting, district teams were instructed to accelerate the pace of financial expenditure and ensure timely implementation of ongoing activities at the grassroots level. The CEO emphasized effective coordination and monitoring to achieve programme targets within the stipulated timelines.

In addition, a separate meeting was conducted to review the progress of the Tripura Rural Economic Growth and Service Delivery Project (TRESP), which is being implemented by TRLM with funding support from the World Bank. The project is being implemented with special focus on the areas under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

Key components of the project include formation of producer groups, establishment of Common Haat Centres (CHCs), livelihood augmentation initiatives, and development of model producer groups to strengthen rural livelihoods in the region.

Officials reviewed the current status of implementation and discussed strategies to further enhance the impact of the project in tribal and rural areas across the state.
