Agartala, 28th May 2025: Sonamura divisional general meeting of the TSECL Workers and Employees Sangha was convened today at Rabindranagar Community Hall under the Sonamura Division. Representatives from five units—Kathalia, Nalchar, Boxanagar, Sonamura and Melaghar participated in the session.
At the meeting, Samar Bhowmik, vice-president of the organization’s central committee; Dulal Debnath, general secretary; BMS Sipahijala district president; Jiban Bhowmik, member of the organization’s state committee and sub-district committee co-secretary; and Binoy Das, among others were present. The event was presided over by Shekhar Sutradhar.
During the meeting, speakers underscored the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electricity services for the general public. They urged workers to exercise heightened vigilance, particularly during severe weather conditions, and reaffirmed their commitment to addressing operational challenges. Leaders also emphasized the need to resolve payment arrears faced by electricity workers by engaging with the relevant authorities.
