Agartala, 19th June 2026: With the noble aim of serving humanity and supporting patients in need, the TSR 15th Battalion (IR-11th) organized a voluntary blood donation camp at its Saydabari camp on Friday morning. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from battalion personnel, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility and public welfare.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials, including IGP Carrie Marak, Commandant Rajib Sengupta, Deputy Commandant Raju Reang, and other officers of the battalion. Medical personnel from the district hospital blood bank were also present to conduct the blood collection process and ensure necessary health protocols.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant Rajib Sengupta said the camp was organized to help meet the growing demand for blood in district hospitals and to ensure the availability of blood for patients during emergencies. He noted that the voluntary participation of battalion personnel demonstrated their dedication not only to maintaining law and order but also to serving society through humanitarian efforts.
A total of 63 personnel donated blood during the camp. The initiative has drawn appreciation from local residents and stakeholders, who described it as a commendable effort.
