Agartala, 22nd September 2026 : The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has directed that the salaries of all Group A and Group B officers under the council be withheld until further orders, following directions issued in connection with recent judgments of the High Court of Tripura.
In a notification issued from the office of the Chief Executive Officer at Khumulwng on September 17, the TTAADC cited a letter dated September 11 issued by the In-charge Deputy Registrar (Judicial) of the High Court of Tripura.
The notification referred to the High Court’s judgments in WP(C) No. 653 of 2026, WP(C) No. 657 of 2026 and WP(C) No. 558 of 2026.
“In pursuance of the letter… issued by the I/C Dy. Registrar (Judl.), High Court of Tripura, Agartala in connection with Hon’ble High Court’s Judgment… it is hereby informed to all concerned that the salary of all Group A & B officers under the TTAADC, shall not be released until further order,” the notification stated.
The order was digitally signed by Chaitanya Murti, Chief Executive Officer, TTAADC, Khumulwng on September 18.
The notification has been circulated to all concerned Group A and Group B officers under the autonomous district council.
The decision has brought the salary release of senior officers under the TTAADC under hold pending further directions in connection with the High Court proceedings.
