Agartala: August 31. In a bid to promote the tea of Tripura, the Tripura Tea Development Corporation (TTDC) has decided to hold ‘Run For Tea’ which will be held on September 03 next in Agartala.
Addressing a press conference this evening, chairman of TTDC Santosh Saha said that this run for tea campaign will be held on September 03 in Agartala in which more than 1500 people starting from sports personality, government officials, tea workers and others will participate.
“To create awareness about the tea produces in our state we are organising this Run For Tea campaign in Agartala. Earlier in 2019 we have requested the officials of the Tea Board India to help us in organising this event so they did and in 2020 we held our first Run For Tea. And this year we are organising this event for the second time. The sole purpose of organising such event in the state is to further promoted and popularize Tripura tea and to boost the tea industry in the state”, he said.
