Agartala Jan 05: Based on specific information from secret sources, police of West Agartala PS along with Battala Outpost police arrested two drug peddlers with narcotic items.
The detained have been identified as Bikas Biswas and Sukanta Barman.Presenting the details, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, “The accused persons will be produced before the court today seeking police remand for further interrogation”.
He added, “5.5 grams of heroin, 42 vials of narcotic items and Rs 33,000 cash has been seized from the nabbed peddlers from Battala market”.He further added that there will be zero tolerance against drug abuse and police are acting sound to nab the accused related with drug trafficking in the capital city.
