According to a GRP official, the arrests were made during a routine inspection conducted on Sunday night. The two women, identified as Sushma Kumari (26) and Soma Kumari (20), both residents of Nalanda district in Bihar, were reportedly attempting to transport the contraband from Agartala to Bihar.

The seized ganja was recovered in a single haul, and a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is underway to determine the source and intended distribution network of the seized narcotics.
