Agartala: October 10. Based on a tip off Tripura Police has arrested two bike lifters from Rajnagar area and managed to recover two stolen bikes. The bike lifters were identified as Sujan Hossain of Madhupur Miapara area and Kishore Pal, of Rajnagar area.
On this day, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das pointed out the failure of the police and said that a gang of thieves was active in the city. They would collect four to five bikes and smuggle them through Sepahijala district to Bangladesh. The police have already managed to arrest 13 thieves after investigating these incidents. 11 of them are currently in jail. Two more people were arrested late on Sunday night. In the last 10 days, the police of West Agartala Police station managed to seize two bikes and the police of East Agartala managed to seize three bikes.
