Two including a decomposed body recover from separate locations in state

Agartala: May 03. Tripura Police in last 24 hours have recovered two bodies from separate locations.At first the police has recovered an half decomposed body of an unidentified man at a pond in Tati para near Airport.

Police said, “In Tati para in a pond the locals have found an unknown dead body. After receiving the information we rushed to the spot along with forensic units. We are trying to identify the body but it is very tough as the whole face is decomposed and seems like somebody has threw acid on the body. However we have received a complaint of missing person and also called them but they are also unable to identify the body”.

In another incident a dead body of a young man was recovered from the Manu River below Chailengta Bridge. The deceased’s name is Shantijoy Chakma, aged 35 years. Father’s name is Kalijoy Chakma of Tilakpara. It is learned that Shantijoy Chakma left home around 8 pm on Tuesday and went with a friend to give money to another person but did not return home at night.

After a long search, the family members did not find any trace of him. Around 7 am on Wednesday, the family members got information that Shantijoy Chakma’s dead body was lying under Chailengta Bridge. Meanwhile, police reached the spot after getting the information. The police of Chailengta Police Station said that there was no sign of injury on the body. It is known from his wife that he was constantly addicted to drugs. Blood came out from the nose and mouth of the dead body. The police believe that this happened after the lung burst due to consume drugs.

Even so, the police said that the investigation will be done after receiving the post-mortem report. The dead body was recovered and sent to Longtorai Valley Hospital.
