Two more Bangladeshi nationals detained by Border Security Forces at Khowai

Agartala, 7th November 2025: Two Bangladeshi citizens were arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the Khowai-Singichhara border late last evening, marking yet another instance of cross-border detentions in the region.

According to personnel from the 104th Battalion of the BSF, the individuals were intercepted around 8 PM while attempting to cross the international boundary. They were subsequently taken to the BSF camp for preliminary interrogation before being handed over to Khowai police later that night.

The detainees have been identified as Parul Biswas (70), a resident of Uttar Dhanmondi in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Shubho Debnath (28) from Chandina in Comilla district, Bangladesh.

Police officials confirmed that both individuals have been transferred to the detention centre in Narsingarh, Agartala, for further legal proceedings.
