Agartala, 23rd April 2025:  Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of innocent tourists. He asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will ensure a befitting response to the heinous incident.

Reacting to the barbaric attack, Dr. Saha said that terrorists are attempting to derail the peace and socio-economic progress ushered in by the Centre in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the aftermath of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A.

“The atmosphere of peace and development brought about by PM Modi and HM Amit Shah has made Jammu and Kashmir a prime tourist destination once again. With increasing footfall of tourists, the region is transforming into a true paradise on earth. This progress, however, has become intolerable for the enemies of peace,” Dr. Saha remarked.

As Tripura’s Home Minister, Dr. Saha expressed strong condemnation of the attack and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Such cowardly attacks are aimed at disturbing the happiness and development of the people. I vehemently protest against this barbaric act where innocent tourists were targeted and killed in cold blood,” he said.

Dr. Saha reiterated his faith in the Centre’s leadership, stating, “Our Prime Minister and Union Home Minister have already made it clear that no one involved will be spared. I am confident that strict and swift action will be taken in the coming days.”

On behalf of the people of Tripura, the Chief Minister conveyed deep sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved families, assuring that justice will be delivered.
