Agartala, June 15, 2023: The members of the All Tripura Unemployed Physiotherapists’ Forum met with the Director of Health Services, Dr Subhasish Debbarma and placed their memorandum over employment of physiotherapists in government-run healthcare institutions across state.
Speaking to media personnel here, one of the unemployed physiotherapists said that the government has not initiated any step of providing jobs in the posts of physiotherapists. Hence, the unemployed physiotherapists gathered here in front of the Directorate of Health Services at Gurkhabasti here and submitted a memorandum of employment of physiotherapists.
The unemployed physiotherapist also said that the Director of Health Services Dr Debbarma has assured them that the matter would be looked into and all possible steps would be initiated. The Director also told that the requisition of ten posts comprising two permanent and eight contractual has been sent to the Finance department for approval, he added.
The unemployed youth also said that the Director has asked them to find out how many vacant posts are there in all the sub-divisional hospitals so that proper initiatives can be taken in recruiting physiotherapists in the coming days.
He further added that unemployed physiotherapists are hopeful that they would be benefited as the Health department is looked after a healthcare professional and can understand the necessity of this post in healthcare institutions across the state.
