Agartala, June 15, 2023: The beautification work of College Tilla Lake and its surrounding areas is going on under the initiative of Agartala Smart City Limited, but the BBM College authority alleged that the boundary wall is being constructed in the property owned by the College.
In view of this complaint against Agartala Smart City Limited, Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Mayor Dipak Majumder and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee visited the spot to look into the matter along with the officials of ASCL and AMC on Thursday.
While speaking to media personnel on the sidelines of the visit, Mayor Majumder said that he had visited the site of construction for beautification of College Till Lake under ASCL along with local guardian i.e. BJP state president Bhattacharjee.
He has admitted the fact that the boundary wall has been constructed on the place owned by the BBM College premises. Hence, the boundary wall would be shifted from the College premises. Although, every plot is owned by the government.
Meanwhile, Mayor Majumder also visited the island located at Drop Gate here along with local councillor as there were certain number of complaints that the vehicles are facing problems while taking turn due to the excessive widening of the island’s side. Hence, Majumder told reporters that the proper measures will be initiated to decrease the concrete space of this island so that the vehicles don’t face any problem while taking turns.
