Unidentified dead body found at Matarbari assembly constituency

Agartala, 16th April 2025:   An unidentified body was found today in the Peratia Natin Tilla area of the Matarbari assembly constituency, a day after Bengali New Year’s celebrations. Authorities believe the body had been lying in the Sal Bagan area for approximately three days.

A large contingent of police personnel including Udaipur Subdivision Police Officer Nirman Das and Radhakishor Pur Police Station OC Babul Das reached the scene to investigate the incident. A forensic team also arrived on-site to aid in identifying the deceased.

The name and address of the individual remain unknown as investigations continue.
