Agartala, 16th April 2025:   A devastating fire engulfed the Nagicherra Mega Food Park yesterday afternoon leaving a section of the park reduced to ashes. This marks the fourth instance of fire at the park, sparking widespread panic in the surrounding area.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames erupting from the forest opposite the food park, prompting workers to raise the alarm. “We saw the fire spreading rapidly and immediately informed the firefighters,” said one of the park employees.

Despite the combined efforts of locals and firefighters, the blaze proved difficult to control. Three fire engines, including units from Maharajganj Bazar and Ranirbazar, rushed to the scene and eventually managed to contain the flames. However, significant damage had already been done.

A firefighter involved in the operation shared, “The fire was intense, and it took considerable effort to bring it under control. Unfortunately, a part of the park was completely destroyed.”

Authorities suspect foul play, as this is the fourth time the park has been gutted by fire. “It appears to be the work of vandals, but we cannot confirm anything at this stage,” said a local official.
