Agartala, April 03: The campaign decorations intended for the Congress party’s rally were set ablaze by unidentified individuals. The incident took place in the vicinity of the tea gardens near Durga Bari here. Pradesh Congress spokesperson, Prabir Chakraborty, expressed vehement condemnation of the act during a press briefing at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan here.

Chakraborty reported that the decorations, which were en route from Agartala to the Bamutia area, were intercepted by the perpetrators who forcibly halted the transport vehicle and ignited the campaign materials.

He further accused these troublemakers of systematically disrupting the party’s election campaign across various locales. In addition, he insinuated that the BJP has been engaging in deceptive tactics to sway public opinion.

Despite these challenges, Chakraborty affirmed the party’s resolute objective to overthrow the current government in the upcoming elections.
