Agartala, 19th December 2025: An unidentified middle-aged homeless woman was killed after being hit by a train near Lakhai Bazar in Teliamura.
According to GRP police, locals spotted the body and immediately informed the railway police. Officers recovered the body and sent it to Teliamura Hospital for post-mortem examination. As the woman remains unidentified, the body will be preserved for 72 hours. Police stated that if no claim is made, the cremation will be carried out under the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s directive.
