Agartala, 1st November 2025: Panic gripped the Lichubagan area adjacent to the High Court this morning after locals found the body of an unidentified young man lying in a bush.
Locals informed that the body was spotted around dawn, prompting residents to immediately alert the NCC police station. Officers arrived at the scene and recovered the body, which has since been sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Preliminary observations revealed injury marks on the deceased, raising suspicions about the nature of the incident. However, police remain uncertain whether it was a case of murder or suicide. The identity of the youth is yet to be established.
“We are treating this as an unnatural death for now. The post-mortem report will help clarify the circumstances. We are investigating all possible angles,” said a senior police official.
Police have assured that a thorough investigation is underway.
