Agartala: January 04. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving here in Agartala tonight to flag off ‘Rath Yatra’ official poll campaign of ruling BJP on Thursday.Addressing a press conference this evening Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that union home minister Shah will flag off two Rath Yatra as part of BJP’s poll campaign on Thursday. One rath yatra will be started from Dharmanagar in North district while another one from Sabroom of South district.
“Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming tonight at Agartala. We are all ready to welcome him. He will stay here at night. Tomorrow he will flag off Rath Yatra at Dharmanagar and will address a mass gathering there. After that he will have lunch at a resident of one Karyakarta. From there we will go to Sabroom in South district to flag off another Rath Yatra”, said CM.
He said before 2018, Union Minister Shah has arrived in Tripura as national president and for him BJP formed government while this time he is coming as a union home minister.
“2023 election is coming. BJP and its government have been working for people. All karyakartas are ready to welcome him. Our karyakartas are vibrant and is waiting for the union home minister. Tomorrow from Sabroom he will come at Agartala and will leave for Delhi”, said Dr Saha.
He said that the present government is working following the direction of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Our government is a transparent government. We have increased the social pension. Keeping in limit we are working for overall development”, he said.BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya said that the rally will continue till January 12 and will be concluded by national president JP Nadda. “The rath yatra will cover all the 60 assembly constituencies. More leaders from outside of the state will be arriving. This is for the first time Rath Yatra is taking place. Around 200 place meeting and road shows will be taken place during the. Leaders like Locket Chatterjee, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Subhendu Adhikari, Sarbananda Sonowal, Mithun Chakraborty, Kiren Rijuju and other leaders will be arriving”, he added.
