Agartala: August 25. Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Giriraj Singh arrived on a two-day state visit on Thursday. On this day, he participated in a review meeting about the progress of various central projects under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department in the state guest house.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and other senior officials. However, before that Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha met in a courtesy meeting at the state guest house. The two discussed for some time. At the beginning of the review meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Dev Varma welcomed Union Minister Giriraj Singh with floral hymns. On this day, he inspected in detail about the progress of various central projects under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in the state and also learned about the problems. Union Minister Giriraj Singh also inquired about providing houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
