Union minister of state Suresh Gopi along with Sushanta Chowdhury visits Neermahal

Agartala, 10th July 2024:   Union Minister of State for Tourism Suresh Gopi on Wednesday visited the picturesque Neermahal, situated on the waters of Rudrasagar, Melaghar in the Sonamura sub-division of Sepahijala district.

Accompanied by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Gopi inspected the historic monument and discussed its beautification and future prospects with reporters.

Chowdhury emphasized the importance of Neermahal as a tourist attraction and highlighted two key issues: “We aim to enhance visitor experiences and address the drinking water problem here.”

He assured that the central government would allocate sufficient funds for developing tourist centers in the state, while implementation would be the responsibility of the state government.
