Agartala, 12th May 2026: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday welcomed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong electoral performance across several states, saying the outcomes reflect growing public confidence in the party’s governance and development agenda.

Speaking to the media in Agartala, he remarked that the BJP had secured encouraging results in states such as West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, adding that the party’s performance had exceeded expectations in many regions.

According to him, these results indicate that voters are supporting the party’s leadership and its focus on development-driven governance.

He also praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, stating that Sarma has been actively working for the state’s development and expressing optimism about continued progress in Assam under his leadership and under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a social media post on X, Saha described the recent developments as the start of a new phase of peace, stability, and growth for Assam and the broader Northeast under Modi’s leadership. He also congratulated the people of Assam for electing a BJP-led government for a third consecutive term, calling it an endorsement of governance, development, and public trust.

Additionally, he extended congratulations to Himanta Biswa Sarma on being sworn in again as Chief Minister of Assam, wishing him success in his continued tenure.
