Agartala, 3rd September 2026 : Candidates contesting the upcoming TTAADC Village Committee General Elections, 2026, will be allowed to submit their nomination papers even on the public holidays of September 4 and 5.
The State Election Commission announced the decision in a notification issued today, ensuring that candidates do not face difficulties in completing the nomination process during the holidays.
The State Election Commission had earlier notified the schedule for the TTAADC Village Committee General Elections on August 31, 2026. As per the announced schedule, the submission and acceptance of nomination papers will continue until September 8, 2026.
The move to accept nominations on September 4 and 5 is expected to provide additional convenience to candidates and political parties participating in the election process.
