Agartala, 3rd September 2026 : The Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral roll will commence in North Tripura district from September 5, according to the Office of the District Election Officer.
As per the announced schedule, preparation and printing of electoral rolls, along with training of personnel engaged in the revision process, will be completed between September 5 and 14. From September 15 to October 14, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will undertake door-to-door visits to collect and verify voter information. Rationalization of polling stations will also be completed by October 14.
The draft electoral roll will be published on October 21. Voters will be able to submit claims and objections from October 21 to November 20. The process of issuing notices and disposing of claims and objections will continue until December 19.
The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on December 23, 2026. The district administration has urged all eligible voters to cooperate with BLOs and ensure that their details are correctly reflected in the electoral roll.
