Agartala, June 20, 2023: The villagers residing in the remote areas of Udaipur sub-division are facing extreme distress due to the deplorable condition of the roads during the monsoon season. Despite numerous appeals made to the authorities, the people of Bagma area, including Pitra of Udaipur sub-division, have received no assistance. This dire situation has been captured by news media cameras in various locations across the sub-division.

The road leading to Ward No. 3 of Garjanmura Panchayat, under the Bagma assembly constituency, has been in a dilapidated state for several years. As the monsoon season arrives, the locals are compelled to navigate knee-deep water on this road. Additionally, the area has been without electricity for four to five consecutive days. Similarly, the main road to Hadra under the Kakraban-Shalgarah assembly constituency has also deteriorated significantly. Regrettably, the concerned department has not taken any initiative to address these issues.

The frustrated citizens expressed their disappointment as even after informing the local authorities, no action has been taken. They demand immediate repairs to the dilapidated rural roads, aiming to restore normalcy to their public lives. The villagers yearn for prompt attention and renovation work from the concerned authorities to alleviate their hardships during the monsoon season.
